Blondes DO have more fun!!

Well, after a lot of talk, I finally got around to it - dyed my hair blonde!

Yeeeaahhh.....Shelby and I were having fun with her camera phone! :P

Okay, well, blonde-ish. I went to the hair dresser, and she recommended not going full out blonde right away, first of all because it would be at least $300 (I have A LOT of hair!), and it would be too much upkeep, getting the roots done every three weeks or so. So she just did loads of highlights.

After commenting several times, "wow, you have SO much hair!" as new hairdressers always do with me, and about 2 and a half hours, I came out as a sort of half-blonde. I'm pretty happy with it, although I think the next time I go to get the highlights touched up, I may get more blonde put in. This is the blondest I've ever been, and I must say, I think it's pretty awesome! I can't decide if this or redhead is better...I'm thinking blonde is a little better!

Okay...so as SailorClover said, my readers are in need of an Em update! So here it is...

-->I'm now in the process of moving out of my apartment, and I'm staying with Didi until I leave The Vag at the end of July. About a month ago, when I was drugged up on cold medication and about to fall asleep for a desperately needed nap, a surprisingly peppy Didi asked me if I wanted to stay at her place rent free for two months, in exchange for watching her house and wrangling her three cats. I thought, sure! That'd be awesome! We then bitched about men, giggled about stuff, and then a half hour later, my cold meds hit me and I napped for a while. So, I am now staying at Didi's, while she's on the road with her trucker man, and I'm here in this house with 3 cats. I think the big fat grumpy one's gonna eat me.

This is Prince. He's a mean drunk.

-->I went to Saskatoon to visit the fam this past weekend. Got to see my aunt and my two youngest cousins, Josh and Austin. Josh, who's now 4, has a knack for storytelling. Last time I saw him, he said he was married. I said, 'to who?' 'Mommy!' he says. Well, of course. Gonna tell all his girlfriends about that one. :P Austin, 18 months old, has the biggest smile you'll ever see, and an equally big appetite. He'll eat and eat, and when his mouth is so full there's some sticking out, he'll stick his sippy cup in to wash it all down! I love those guys.

Austin and Josh playing on the Grandpa George Jungle Gym!

-->Also got to see my little sister and my cousin, two girls joined at the hip. My sister's almost as tall as me!
-->Got to see Clover, Longlegs and Sweetpea. Went to their secret park, bulldozed sand with Longlegs, and picked grass with Sweetpea. Good times.

I'm so excited about moving out east, but sad about all I'm leaving behind. Just trying to make use of what little time I have left. :)

Discipline...NIN style

Okay, so a friend sent me a link from the Nine Inch Nails website, in which I could download the new album, The Slip, for free! It's friggin awesome!!!! :D

Also, Trent Reznor posted this vid on YouTube for their single 'Discipline'. It looks like a Village People video made in Mario Paint. It made me laugh long time.

Lazy blogging...

26

So I took the "How many 5 yr olds could you take in a fight" quiz - apparently 26. I think I could take more than that!

Ah, sorry for the lazy blogging...I've been moving all week! Didi was nice enough to let me stay with her for 3 months before I move out east! *hugs*

I am the TEQUILA DEVIL!!

Last year, I was invited to a superhero party at Clover and Bat-Hubs' in Toontown. So, I drove up with a couple of friends, superhero get-ups, booze, and all.

The whole idea behind the party was to wear a cape and a white t-shirt, and throughout the night, as the intoxication developed and shenanigans ensued, you would be assigned a superhero identity. Some people went simple, wore a white (or pink, or green) t-shirt and a towel as a cape. Kat and I went all out, sewing capes, collecting plastic weapons and accessories for our costumes. I chose a relatively easy Superman style cape that goes on underneath the shirt and comes over top of the back collar of the shirt.

Anyways, some got their identities fairly early in the night. Clover was still had Sweet Pea in the oven, so she would be sober that evening; however, she would be Batboobs, seeing as her preggo rack was in full awesomeness! Bat-Hubs, whose superpower would not be evident until the next morning, was No Hangover Man. It's true, he's always the first one up, stepping over the drunkies passed out on the floor, out for one of his super long walks. Although, he changed his identity when Diva arrived and became Captain Cop-a-Feel; he decided to be her sidekick as The Boy Grabber (did that mean he was a boy who grabbed, or he grabbed boys?? lol). B-Rad became Stiffy Stupendous (I guess Diva will have to clarify that one!)

My superhero identity? I earned it when I found a tequila bottle, and started pouring shots for everyone and making them drink them, especially those who complained the most (ahem, Bat-Hubs!) I was dubbed the Tequila Devil!

I enjoy the taste of tequila, and I just wanted others to enjoy it!

Cold Remedies

Okay, so I was ridiculously sick last week, and the week before that, I had a terrible case of insomnia. And now that I've been mocking all my friends who got an assload of snow on the weekend, I'm seeing white flakes coming down. Boourns.

When I get sick, my strategy is usually to take a good dose of heavy drugs and sleep lots. That's usually why I get sick in the first place - my body doesn't have the energy to fight off sickness because of lack of sleep.

This time, I couldn't figure out why I would take some medication, crawl into bed, and stare at the ceiling all night. I was telling this to Kat, and she asked me what I was taking - nyquil caps and neo citran. She said that's why I wasn't sleeping - apparently the combination of the two acts as a stimulant. Fantastic.

So, instead I turned to a cold remedy that my grandma introduced me to when I visited in the winter. Grandpa was still getting over a nasty sinus infection, and after the first day there, I was starting to feel sick myself. Grandma grabs a bottle from the cupboard, removes the dropper, and says 'here, hold a couple drops of this under your tongue for as long as you can, then swallow it.' Okay. Now, I'm usually pretty tough when it comes to this kind of stuff, especially when it's going to keep me from getting sick. I can drink Buckleys like it's apple juice, sweet sweet menthol-y apple juice for my sore throat.

But this stuff BURNED! I held it under my tongue for a couple of seconds and started to tear up. I think it was less than 5 seconds and I had to swallow it, but it still burned. Grandma hands me a glass of orange juice. 'It's oil of oregano, a natural antibiotic. It'll kill any bug you might be catching.' I thought it was going to kill ME!

Sure enough, I was healthy as ever by that evening, and stayed that way for the rest of the week.

So I went to the health food store and picked some up. Pricey little bottle, but it lasts a while. So I took some, and 2 days later, I was good as new! I hate those colds that linger for 2 or 3 weeks - I will have none of it! Done and done.

And the little bit of snow that was falling has now stopped. It's already melted too. HAHAHAHAHA!!! *evil grin*

*Sigh*

Someone in my building has been having ridiculously good and loud sex for the past two hours with no signs of slowing down. And it's not me, dammit.

35 Keyword Searches that led to My Blog

Hey everyone! So Diva did a post like this many moons ago, and now that I'm starting to get more traffic to my site, I was curious to see who was searching my site. Here's the 35 searches that have lead to my site in the past month:

1. things early 20's
2. early 20's

The above two I seem to get a lot of traffic for. It was a post I did around my 25th birthday, about the things I learned in my early 20's.

3. peeonme - erm...oh ya, from the 13 worst baby names I've ever heard. The first and only Thursday 13 I did. I'm too lazy for 13! I should do a Friday 5! Maybe next week.

Who does a search for 'peeonme'??!! Srsly. (edit note: click on the 'peeonme' search link - first entry that comes up - peeonme.com. I'm too scared to go to it - I dare you to! :O

4. xbox 360 regina my ex
5. "all for an xbox 360"

Uh...that was from a post I deleted. I was mad at my ex (for no good reason as it turned out) because my other ex told me this gigantic lie, then got mad it me for calling him on his bullshit. Ah the memories...

6. "black jack davey" white stripes - a meme I did involving my iPod/mp3 playlist. Very fun...I highly recommend.

7. "holler when you see land, joanie. - ah, the good ol' Clone High reference.

8. "i am left handed" - left handed people are just better. It's true, and you know it. :P It's from my 100 things about me part 1 post. I gotta do the other 50...I'll do it! I promise!

9. "jayden jordan" ...from the baby names post I guess...?

10. "pat fiacco" - Vag Town's horrible, horrible mayor, with his big stupid 'stache. He got voted in for another term because only 25% of Regina's eligible voting population turned out to vote, which was probably all his rich goon buddies. I'm sad to say I didn't vote - got the dates mixed up. BAH!!

11. "photographic technology" + nait - where I went to college for 8 months. DON'T DO IT!!! IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!! AAAHH!! lol

12. 100 things that came out of human body - um...I did a 100 things about me post...but perhaps I should try this one...?

13. about being in your early 20's - again, early 20's post

14. ashleyspace - is that a MySpace spinoff only for Ashleys?? SWEET!!

15. career in 20s

16. chocolate lord of the rings colbert - ah, my ode to my beloved Stephen, in my Nerdy Boys series. I haven't done a Nerdy Boys entry for a while. Just not impressed with guys right now, nerdy or otherwise

17. colbert and lord of the rings
18. colbert chocolate lord rings
19. colbert daily show viggo aragorn
20. colbert on lord of the rings aragon

21. early 20's money

I decided to put my two cents in on the CBC news website. Nobody responded to my comment, but 10 people recommended it! I feel so loved.
